Sun Stories website and related services are made available to you in accordance with the following Terms of Use and Service and any other rules posted on our Site. Sun Stories is a trading name of Sun Stories Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales.

Throughout the Site, the terms we refer to Sun Stories. Sun Stories offers this Site, including all information, tools, and services available from this Site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies, and notices stated on the Site.

We wish to draw your attention to our policies relating to the Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are under the age of 16, you must let your parent or guardian know about our Privacy Policy before you register to use this Site or place an order. We reserve the right to only accept orders from persons over 18 years of age.

We may modify the Terms of Service from time to time. It is your responsibility to check this page periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to the Site following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

By visiting our Site and/or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following Terms of Service, including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink.

1. Registration & Account Terms

When you place an order or register for an account, you are required to provide information about yourself that is true, accurate, current, and complete in all respects. Should your registration information change, please notify us immediately.
We may change registration requirements from time to time. We will only communicate with the named account holder in relation to any questions, cancellations, or amendments to an account.

2. Eligibility to Purchase

You must be at least 16 years old to place an order. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have parental or guardian consent to purchase.
You must provide your real name, phone number, e-mail address, billing and delivery address, and valid payment details. By submitting an order, you warrant that this information is correct and that you are authorised to use the payment method provided.

3. Order Processing & Dispatch

  • In-stock Items: Prepared for dispatch within 3–5 working days.
  • Pre-order/Made-to-Order items: Follow lead times shown on their product pages. Lead times may vary; customers will be notified of any changes.
  • Multiple Shipments: All products are fragile and handcrafted, protective materials are used to ensure safe delivery.
  • Packaging: Orders with mixed availability may be split into more than one delivery.

4. Shipping, Delivery & Insurance

  • UK Delivery: Standard and Express services are available. Charges are calculated at checkout.
  • International Delivery: FoCosts calculated at checkout. Delivery times vary depending on location and customs clearance.
  • Customs & Duties: International customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, or VAT unless otherwise stated at checkout. We recommend checking with local customs offices before purchase.
  • Delivery Tracking: You will receive an email with tracking details once your order is dispatched.
  • Risk & Ownership: Ownership of goods passes once full payment is received and delivery has been completed. Goods become your responsibility upon delivery.

5. Orders & Acceptance

Placing an item in your basket does not reserve it. Orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
An order acknowledgement email does not constitute acceptance. Acceptance occurs only when we dispatch the goods and send a confirmation. The sale contract is concluded in England in the English language.

We reserve the right not to accept your order if:

  • Payment is not authorised.
  • The item is out of stock or withdrawn.
  • Shipping restrictions apply.
  • A pricing or product description error is identified.

6. Pricing & Payment

  • Prices are shown in GBP and include UK VAT (20%) unless otherwise stated.
  • Prices may change without notice due to currency fluctuations, supplier changes, or promotions.
  • The price confirmed at checkout is final.
  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Maestro, and PayPal.
  • All transactions are processed securely using (Stripe/Shopify Payment).

7. Returns & Refunds

Return Period & Conditions:

  • Returns accepted within 14 days of delivery for items in original, unused condition with packaging intact.
  • Customers cover return shipping costs unless the item is faulty.
  • Made-to-Order, Bespoke, or Customised items are final sale and cannot be returned unless faulty.

Faulty or Damaged Items:

  • Report faults or damage within 5 working days of delivery, with photographs of the item and packaging.
  • Where approved, we will offer a replacement or refund (including return shipping).

Refunds:

  • Refunds are issued within 7–10 business days of receiving and inspecting the return. Refund times may vary depending on your payment provider.

8. Order Cancellations

  • Standard in-stock items: Cancel within 24 hours of order if not yet dispatched.
  • Made-to-Order/Bespoke: Cancellations only within 48 hours of placing the order. After production begins, cancellation is not possible.
  • After Dispatch: Orders cannot be cancelled. Customers may return under the Returns Policy (except bespoke items).
  • Refunds: For cancellations are processed within 7–10 working days

9. Gift Cards & Promotion Codes

  • Gift cards are valid for 12 months from purchase. They cannot be returned or exchanged for cash.
  • If the order total is less than the gift card value, the remaining balance is stored for future use.
  • Promotion codes are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts unless stated.
  • Discounts do not apply to sale goods, made-to-order, or limited collections unless specified.

10. Sale Goods

The only discount applicable to sale goods is the stated sale discount. Other discounts cannot be applied.

11. Product Characteristics & Disclaimers

  • All Sun Stories products are handcrafted. Variations in colour, glaze, texture, and finish are inherent to the artisanal process and not considered defects.
  • Natural markings, patina, or irregularities may occur.
  • Vintage or collectible pieces may show signs of wear or repair consistent with age.
  • Colours displayed online may vary due to screen settings; we cannot guarantee absolute accuracy.
  • Cushions and textile items are final sale and not returnable for issues such as zip faults once dispatched in working condition.

12. Reporting Damage

All damages must be reported within 24 hours of delivery, with photographic evidence of the product and packaging.

13. Exchange Policy

We do not offer direct exchanges. Customers should return an item for a refund (if eligible) and place a new order.

14. Warranties

Newly made Sun Stories products come with a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects.

The warranty does not cover:

  • General wear and tear (scratches, fading, marks, or cracks).
  • Changes in natural materials (e.g., hairline cracks, variations in wood or glaze).
  • Misuse, accidents, or failure to follow care instructions.
  • Commercial/non-domestic use unless specified.
  • Items modified or repaired without approval.
  • Sale, clearance, or vintage pieces.

15. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property on the Site (images, text, logos, designs, and content) belongs to Sun Stories or its licensors. You may not copy, reproduce, or use this material without permission.

16. No Commercial Use

This Site and its content are for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not use, reproduce, or resell products purchased from the Site for commercial purposes without written consent.

17. Third-Party Sites

We may include links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including loss of profits or data.
  • Our total liability in relation to any product is limited to the purchase price of that product.

19. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sun Stories, its directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms.

20. Severability

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder shall remain in full force and effect.

21. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any referenced policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and Sun Stories.

22. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
